To Martha’s Vineyard

We’re so excited to spend the weekend with you on the Vineyard. We know it’s far for many of you, and so appreciate you coming. It’s high season, so we very warmly encourage everyone to plan their travel and accommodation as soon as possible.

This is a very small wedding party (❤️) and there’s only a handful of you, so if you’re looking for someone to share travel, or rent a beach-house with, let us know. We’re so happy to connect you all!

Travel

FLY
There are a few daily flights from Boston and New York. United, Delta, and American all fly direct, and (right now!) tickets are very reasonable. They get very pricey before they sell out (they do sell out!).

DRIVE
We love to drive. It takes much longer, but you get to be on a ferry, and generally having a car is a fun way to explore the island.

If you don’t plan to bring a car on the ferry, there are dedicated parking lots run by SS and SA, but you’ll need to plan for additional time as they’re a bit further from the port.

SeaStreak

Departs from New Bedford, MA and takes just 50 minutes to go over. There’s no option to bring a car, but there is parking nearby (or valet parking right at the dock). These require booking well in advance.

Steamship Authority

They depart from Woods Hole, MA and take about 45 minutes. It is the only service that carries cars onto the island! For passengers you don’t need tickets, you can just walk-in and pay on board. For vehicles, advanced reservations are the only option. Reservations for summer travel tend to sell out at the beginning of the season, so we recommend setting a reminder for when booking opens.

Stay

This hotel group has a few options in convenient locations:

Airbnb and vrbo are the most common kind of accommodation. During August, many hosts require
a min 3-evening stay. Consider staying through the end of the weekend with us :)

An easy no-frills option is the Camp at Martha's Vineyard Family Campground. They also have cabins for all of us who are not particularly outdoorsy.
